Jed Feuer :

Trumpet, Flügelhorn

Because his father had started as a professional trumpet player (Juilliard under Max Schlossberg - later becoming one of the original four trumpets when Radio City Music Hall opened), there were horns lying around the house while Jed Feuer grew up. By the age of eight, he was making rapid progress under the tutelage of the legendary Joe Wilder (he would later study with Albert Ligotti of the NY Philharmonic, then Carmine Caruso). At the age of twelve, with wide-ranging obsessions from Miles Davis to Wilbur de Paris, he founded his first band, Jed & His Dixie a la King. While it met with a certain amount of success, Joe Wilder felt that more study and less performance would be beneficial, all around. Within a year, Jed's attention turned to the piano and composition took over for many years. (www.jedfeuer.com)
